As we near the 11th November 2019, we gather in remembrance of all of those who have fallen in past conflict or service to their country and community.
In Flanders’ fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place: and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders’ fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe;
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high,
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders’ Fields.
Poem by John McCrae – (1915)
At this time we also consider current serving armed forces and ex-military personell and their families. We are mindful of the physical and mental sacrifices that these men and women make and the difficulties many face when returning to civilian life, and adjusting to day to day life. It is staggering that so many ex-personell are homeless and living on the streets but there are ways in which we can help. For more information visit the following websites:

At Home From Home Agency we will always provide free housing advice to any ex or current armed forces personnel.
